The festival of Nag Panchami is celebrated on the fifth day of the Shukla Paksha of the month of Sawan. This time this date is falling on 25 July. Therefore Nag Panchami festival will be celebrated on 25th of this month. There is a law in Hinduism to worship animals and birds. Nagas are worshiped on the day of Nag Panchami. The origin of snakes is described in the Mahabharata. In Hinduism, serpents are also considered deities.
